Orthodoxy Isn't A Religion

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine. He has recently been forcibly removed from his religion. As a result his mind is more open. He proceeded to make the comment that he believes that man made religion is precisely what holds people back from seeing God. To his astonishment I completely agreed with him. You see, he fully expected me to become irate at such a statement. He informed me that I was one of the most religious fellows he knows. I in turn responded that in fact Orthodoxy is not a religion. It is The Way and the only way. Absolutely, to limit it to the confines of "religion" is to only limit it to mans fallen understanding.
